I have eaten soba many times but that was the first time I’d ever eaten such a vegetable cold soba. Let me get straight to the point, that was the fantastic experience.
They cut cucumber, eggplant and tomato to a fine and took them on cold soba. Cold Japanese stock, soft and chewy soba and chopping summer vegetable mixed in the mouth. I did’t realize that vegetables had gone well with soba until I ate it. By all means, try it if you come to Japan in hot season.
I also ordered Japanese mix rice. But I think I made mistake. It didn’t mach with that. I should have ordered it when I ordered hot soba. Because the stock of cold soba or udon is strong taste.
